There are so many Christians who want to start out on top!  But the only job that begins at the top is grave digging!  If you study the background of many great people, you will discover that they once served at the lowest level in their profession.

 

The best leader is someone who has been a follower for many years.  Because you have done menial jobs, you are more reasonable with your subordinates.  You understand what they are going through and do not give impossible commands.

 

Ecclesiastes 9:11 KJV  I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the STRONG, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

• Strength determines the quality of your leadership
• Strength determines your ability to fight against your enemy
• Your strength determines whether your enemy will  attack you or not
• Your strength determines your level of obedience to God
• Your strength is determined by how much accusation you can withstand

 

Do not be afraid of small beginnings; God will lift you up.  You will benefit from all the experiences you have had in your small beginnings.

It was when David was looking after the few sheep that he had a fight with a bear and a lion.  It is because he was used to fighting impossible situations that he was able to take on Goliath.

• Improve your speed of understanding
• Improve your speed of copying
• Improve your speed of implementation
• Improve your speed of finishing

And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, How long shall I bear with this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against me. Numbers 14:26-27

 

Murmuring and complaining can become the culture of any office, church or group.  The Israelites developed this culture of being dissatisfied, discontent and disenchanted by everything their leader did. They complained about everything until their complaints sounded like madness.

 

Complaining and murmuring is satanic in its very nature.  Demonic things often make no sense when they are analysed.  It does not make sense when people shout and rave for being delivered from slavery. The senseless and unreasonable outbursts of the Israelites revealed the presence of demons amongst them.

• Miriam developed leprosy because she murmured against Moses.
• The Israelites developed plagues and diseases when they murmured against the Lord.
